Education & Outreach

Education at all levels is an important part of BEACON’s mission. Our goals are to increase interest in science, technology, engineering & math (STEM) careers, to increase diversity in STEM careers, to increase the public’s understanding of evolutionary science, and to provide interdisciplinary training and research opportunities for graduate students, postdocs, and early career faculty. Coordinating these efforts are BEACON’s Education Director, Louise Mead, and Diversity Director, Judi Brown Clarke.
